Please note! Listing is for two nylon gears only!! Neither the model pictured nor the electric motor are included in this listing. This listing is for two Wankel model electric motor replacement drive gears. The drive gears in the Wankel model kits are over 40 years old and prone to splitting and breaking. This brand new replacement gear has a reinforced collar that resists splitting and breaking. If your model no longer turns over but the electric motor still spins you need this replacement gear. If you haven’t built your model now is the time to install this reinforced gear. By selecting a “Quantity of 1” you will receive two gears. You do not need to completely disassemble your model to replace this gear. However, you will need to remove the electric motor. The simplest way is to use a flat, X-acto saw, and carefully cut through the back half of the right side of the plastic housing. Saw along the forward edge where the bell housing meets the waffle case. Next, remove the rear, right side, tail screw, and gently separate the side housing from the model. To keep the side housing in place following repair, glue three small plastic tabs to the inside of housing. The tabs will hold the plastic housing in the correct position on reassembly.
